Description: The work was inspired by a newspaper photograph depicting a woman receiving a heroin injection in her neck.
In the sculpture, half of her body has transformed into glass, while the other half remains warm to the touch.
This contrast speaks to a tragic nexus of identities: daughter, addict, and sex worker—simultaneously human, vulnerable, and objectified.
The material split reflects both numbness and survival, fragility and persistence.
